Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to a general medical/surgical patient population, including monitoring, assessments, medication administration, and documentation of care
- Implement care plans developed with the multidisciplinary team; respond promptly to changes in patient condition
- Maintain patient safety and comfort, adhere to infection control practices, and uphold privacy and confidentiality
- Collaborate with physicians, case management, and other staff; escalate issues per unit policy
- Float to other units as needed, per manager discretion and skill set
- Complete patient documentation and ensure accurate handoffs during shift changes

Requirements
- NY RN license required at submission
- BLS required; ACLS preferred
- Minimum 2 years acute hospital nursing experience
- Prior travel experience required
- COVID-19 vaccine not required; flu vaccination status unknown
- Willingness to float as needed per manager's discretion according to skill set
- Some units may require Relias EKG exam within 72 hours after signing; pass scores and remediation conditions apply
- NY State license verification (Nursys) required at submission; submit certifications prior to start
- Residency/compliance notes: local radius restrictions apply; candidates with a primary residence within 50 miles of the driver's license address are not accepted; excluded counties include Warren, Washington, Fulton, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Albany, Columbia, Greene, Dutchess, and Ulster
