Respiratory Therapy (RCP) - Encinitas

This is a Full time, benefited 12 hour day shift RCP position at Scripps Encinitas.

Join our team as a Respiratory Therapist within our Respiratory Therapy department at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas. Use your technical skills and experience to help our team in this exciting and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate has a thirst for knowledge and is eager to grow within the Scripps Health family. The Respiratory Therapist, in collaboration with other caregivers:

• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates actions for respiratory care
• Performs all technical diagnostic and therapeutic procedures related to respiratory care and other core responsibilities necessary to maintain the flow of patient care and comfort in the unit
• Responds to critical situations
• Utilizes computer systems in performing position duties
• Adheres to Hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Participates in Quality Control, preventative maintenance, and performance improvement activities.

Required Qualifications:

• Current California RCP license
• Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification
• Excellent interpersonal skills. Enjoys working with the public.
• Must be able to speak, read, and follow instructions in English.
• Technically competent in the department skills inventory. Computer literate.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prefer one or more years acute care experience.
• Graduate of one or two year AMA School of Respiratory Care preferred.
• NICU level 2 experience is preferred
