Warehouse Supervisor, 2nd Shift

Job Summary Warehouse Supervisor, 2nd Shift – manage and coordinate the work of warehouse employees at the Midwest Distribution Center (MWDC) located in Platte City, MO. This role is part of the Purina Animal Nutrition business serving producers and animal owners throughout the United States. Responsibilities Provide leadership, direction, and development of warehouse employees in a 2‑shift, 5‑day a week operation. Lead and develop the 2nd shift staff. Manage talent, schedule staff, and oversee supply chain operations and management. Ensure compliance with safety training and regulatory requirements. Maintain safety, production, service, quality, inventory control standards, and employee development. Collaborate with local sales, customer service, manufacturing plant leadership, and corporate shared services partners. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. 1+ years of experience managing people (rotational Land O’Lakes programs considered). 2+ years experience with warehouse/distribution center operations and demonstrated progression in leadership or operations. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, smartphones, and other hardware/software. Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business, Engineering Sciences, Supply Chain, or related field (preferred). 5+ years supervisory experience (preferred). Experience building sales and inventory forecasts, budgeting/forecasting, and managing a substantial budget (preferred). Experience with DOT regulations, EH&S programs, and other compliance/safety procedures (preferred). Forklift operator experience (required). Physical Requirements Able to lift or carry up to 60 pounds. Frequent movement: walking, standing, bending, stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, lifting, climbing, and other active movements. Perform duties while wearing personal protective equipment. Work in temperature zones that include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods, including areas with dust and chemicals. Operating Hours 2 shifts/5 days a week; weekends as needed. Primary shift: 3:00pm – 1:00am, with possible fill‑in on other shifts. Salary Range $70,800 – $106,200 (typically near the middle of the range).
