Part - Time Employment & Education Specialist - QMHP

Job Number: 26-10077 Job Summary: RA1SE is a community based program that works with individuals ages 15-30 who have experienced a first episode of psychosis. The Employment & Education Specialist is a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) who provides employment skills training to individuals diagnosed with serious mental illness, including those with co-occurring substance use disorders, chronic health conditions, and/or intellectual and developmental disabilities. The specialist participates in diagnostic evaluation, completes assessments, and collaborates with individuals to define and facilitate desired life outcomes using a recovery‑based and trauma‑informed perspective. The specialist may provide therapeutic interventions that foster skills necessary to manage symptoms, obtain or maintain employment or housing, and help obtain services such as school, medical care, nutritional assistance, financial assistance, transportation, legal assistance, and other resources. Services are typically provided in the community. QMHPs embrace trauma‑sensitive and informed practices, provide Suicide Safer care, and foster a supportive and welcoming environment. QMHPs operate in a dynamic environment, develop extensive knowledge of community resources, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and cultivate a clinical skill set by forging therapeutic relationships with community members and stakeholders. Interventions and services can be both office‑ and community‑based and may require the use of a personal automobile. Individuals served may be diagnosed with mental illness, co‑occurring substance use disorders, chronic health conditions, and/or IDD. Staff members work under the supervision of a clinically licensed professional who provides ongoing evaluation and oversight of all assessments, diagnoses, and treatment. Clinical assignments may be of moderate complexity and are handled with considerable independence; more complicated cases receive closer review and supervision. Services provided may include individual, family, and/or group skills training using evidence‑based interventions, crisis assessment, and case management. Work is performed under general supervision with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Regular, predictable attendance is essential. Other duties may be assigned; flexible work schedule may be required. Education Graduated from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree with a major specialization in Human/Behavioral/Social Services or related field. License Current and valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Experience Bilingual in Spanish. Experience in Human/Behavioral/Social Services.
