Air Quality Practice Lead - Energy (Remote/Hybrid)

Discover your full potential – join us to advance your career while leaving a lasting legacy.Essential Job Functions:Practice Leadership & StrategyLead and expand Tetra Tech’s Air Quality Practice, including business strategy, client engagement, and operational performanceIntegrate air quality services across Tetra Tech’s global platform and multidisciplinary teamsIdentify and develop cross-disciplinary solutions to support client needsDrive practice growth, innovation, and market positioningBusiness Development & Client LeadershipServe as Senior Account Lead for key strategic clientsBuild and maintain strong relationships across energy, industrial, financial, and private equity sectorsLead opportunity capture efforts, including RFP/RFQ responses, proposals, pricing, and contract negotiationsLeverage existing networks to expand Tetra Tech’s national energy practiceParticipate in industry initiatives and sustainability eventsProject & Technical LeadershipOversee air quality advisory and permitting projects, including:PSD / NSR permittingTitle V permittingRegulatory compliance strategiesEnsure delivery of high-quality, complex projects aligned with client expectations and company standardsCollaborate with global teams to analyze market opportunities and account growth potentialTeam Leadership & DevelopmentBuild, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of air quality professionalsRecruit and develop key technical talentDelegate responsibilities to support team growth and leadership developmentPromote a culture of collaboration, quality, and continuous improvementConduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.Additional duties as required.Required Qualifications:B.S. or M.S. in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field15+ years of experience in air quality engineering and permitting, ideally within the energy sectorExpertise in:PSD / NSR permitting and Title V applicationsAir quality regulatory compliance and strategyStrong understanding of:Energy facility air quality requirementsMarket trends, client needs, and competitive landscapeProven experience in:Business development and account growthProgram and operational leadershipManaging financial performance and profitabilityEstablished industry network and client relationshipsExcellent communication and presentation skillsMust possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record without restrictions.Preferred Qualifications:Experience supporting:Data CentersOil & gasPower generationMiningIndustrial and chemical manufacturingExperience working with federal and state regulatory agenciesDemonstrated success in building and scaling technical teamsWork Environment / Travel:Flexible location with travel required for client engagement and internal collaborationParticipation in industry events, client meetings, and strategic initiativesLife at Tetra Tech:The perks of working at Tetra Tech include:Comprehensive and market-competitive benefits.
