Job Summary

The Industrial Electrician installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs electrical systems in plant facilities and manufacturing equipment. Working with minimal supervision, this role supports daily production, performs preventive maintenance, and coordinates electrical work with outside contractors when needed.

Essential Responsibilities

• Maintain a valid Massachusetts Journeyman Electrician license.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic, and electromechanical systems in plant facilities and manufacturing equipment.
• Complete preventive maintenance tasks as scheduled in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Perform periodic welding power supply calibrations as directed by the Quality Control Calibration Department.
• Coordinate electrical repairs and preventive maintenance performed by outside contractors when needed.
• Purchase supplies needed for maintenance work using vendors approved by the Purchasing Department.
• Attend Maintenance Department project meetings and communicate with shop floor supervisors to address production issues promptly.
• Document completed work and provide corrective and preventive maintenance records to the Facilities Manager.

Additional Responsibilities

• Identify and report faulty equipment or unusual operating conditions.
• Keep work areas and equipment clean, safe, and orderly. Follow safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Work effectively with others and participate in continuous improvement activities.
• Follow all quality, health, safety, and environmental procedures, and attend training relevant to the role.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Valid Massachusetts Journeyman Electrician license.
• More than five years of relevant experience.
• Advanced trade knowledge, including the ability to use technical drawings, specifications, charts, formulas, and precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex equipment, use technical software, and work independently to solve unusual problems.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

The role involves moderate physical activity, including occasional lifting or moving of materials in difficult positions. Work requires sustained attention to detail and may involve exposure to industrial conditions and electrical hazards. Careful adherence to safety procedures is essential.

Hourly Rate Range: $38.00 - Final $45.00 rate will be determined by relevant experience, skills, and qualifications
