Job Description Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists is seeking a board certified/eligible cardiologist with interest in interventional procedures to join our dynamic hospital. GCVS values innovation and individuality at the practice level while recognizing the power of collaboration. We are looking for an individual who shares our passion for advancing veterinary medicine.
Our 60,000 sq-ft hospital has two dedicated Philips echo machines including a EPIQ CVx which is 3D and TEE probe, a Philips PageWriter TC70 ECG, and Holter capability. We have imaging capabilities including a 128 - slice CT capable of cardiac gating, on-site 3T MRI, stand alone and point of care radiography, C-arm, and ultrasound run by our diagnostic imaging service. Our newly remodeled Interventional Radiology Suite is set up to accommodate a variety of advanced cardiac procedures. The hospital also has endoscopy, cystoscopy, electrodiagnostic equipment, I131 treatment, and a Varian Halcyon radiation therapy system capable of advanced radiation therapy modalities. We currently have specialty practices in Surgery, Neurology, Internal Medicine, Critical Care, Radiology, Diagnostic Imaging, Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation, Radiation Oncology, Medical Oncology, Ophthalmology, Dermatology and Allergy, Avian and Exotics, and Anesthesiology. In addition to the specialty services, we have a 24/7/365 emergency service with a team of dedicated ER doctors and Criticalists. We also have an in-house social work team to support our clients and our staff.
We enjoy the camaraderie between specialists that a large practice affords and support each other in the pursuit of practicing the highest quality veterinary medicine. With a focus on education, we have an active rotating intern, specialty intern, and residency program, and there are abundant opportunities to interact with the general practitioners in the area through monthly rounds meetings and our annual symposium. We also strive to support our community through partnerships with shelters, rescues, and community projects of concern to our team members.

We have professional sports teams, numerous recreational and cultural amenities, and exceptional universities, colleges, and public education so you and your family can thrive here.
Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists offers competitive compensation as well as a full range of benefits including health, dental, vision, long-term disability, life insurance, time off for vacation and CE, and a 401(k) plan.
