Associate Attorney

Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. (QPWB), a multi-office national defense firm and the largest minority owned law firm in the United States, is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our Memphis office. This is a full-time, in-office position offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. About the Role We are seeking an Associate Attorney with approximately 3 years of litigation experience to join our growing Memphis office. While experience in defense litigation is preferred, we are open to attorneys from a variety of practice areas who demonstrate strong litigation skills, excellent legal writing abilities, and a desire to grow their practice within a collaborative team environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to expand their experience, take on meaningful responsibility, and work alongside experienced litigators representing a diverse client base. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Manage an active caseload through all phases of litigation Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, legal memoranda, and other litigation-related documents Conduct legal research and develop case strategies Prepare and respond to written discovery Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and court appearancesCommunicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and team members Prepare cases for mediation, arbitration, and trial Ensure compliance with court deadlines and client reporting requirements Collaborate with attorneys and staff to provide exceptional client service Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school Active member in good standing with the Tennessee Bar (or ability to become admitted promptly) Approximately 3 years of litigation experience Defense litigation experience preferred, but attorneys from other litigation practice areas are encouraged to apply Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills Experience drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills Ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment What We Offer QPWB offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees, including: Medical, dental, and vision insurance Employer-paid life insurance and short-term disability 401(k) with employer match Paid vacation, holidays, and personal time off Opportunities for professional growth and advancement within a national law firm QPWB is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
