Pharmacist Job Responsibilities: Prepare and compound non-sterile medications according to physician prescriptions and established protocols Review prescription orders for accuracy, appropriateness, and potential drug interactions Calculate and measure ingredients precisely to ensure proper dosing and formulation Maintain detailed compounding records and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements Ensure all compounded medications meet quality assurance standards and USP guidelines Counsel patients on proper medication use, potential side effects, and storage requirements Maintain clean and organized compounding area following safety and sanitation protocols Monitor inventory levels of compounding supplies and ingredients Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop customized medication solutions Stay current with compounding techniques, regulations, and best practices through continuing education Train and supervise pharmacy technicians in non-sterile compounding procedures Conduct quality control checks on compounded preparations
