GENERAL SUMMARY: We are looking for a part-time Sales Associate in our Fayetteville location. Your primary responsibility will be to positively represent Lori's Ace Home & Hardware through proactively helping customers with their shopping needs and solving problems. You will receive training to become a knowledgeable advisor for our customers. You will also assist in the receiving, stocking and pricing of all merchandise, and help maintain a clean and orderly merchandise presentation and overall store cleanliness. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Customer Service: Provide a positive representation of Lori's Ace. Assist customers throughout the store with personal, customized service based on the premise of wowing every customer, every time. Proactively assist customers in solving problems. Possess a friendly outgoing demeanor; work well with customers as well as associates. Possess strong product knowledge and knowledge of store layout and location of products. Store Operations: Assist in creating a positive, professional and safe work environment. Assist with receiving, checking in and stocking of merchandise throughout the store. Assist with maintaining back stock levels. Assist with daily maintenance, orderliness and cleanliness of the sales floor, stock room and outdoor merchandise area. Assist with providing a clean and orderly sales floor, including end caps and and merchandise. Assist with merchandise resets through the store. Participate in store meetings. Be professional in appearance and actions. Perform all other duties as assigned. EDUCATION/TRAINING Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Superior customer service skills. Ability to influence others. Excellent communication skills. Friendly personality. Attention to detail. Ability to learn store products and services. Previous retail experience preferred but not required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Working at Lori’s Ace is a physical position. Candidate must be able to stand for long periods of time, walk at a quick pace, lift up to 30 lbs and climb step ladders.
