Role Overview

As a CNA, you will assist with basic patient care, observe and report any changes in patient conditions, and help maintain a clean and well-stocked patient environment. Your role is vital in supporting nursing staff and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout their stay.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with patient admissions, including orientation to unit routines and equipment.
• Respond promptly to patient needs, providing direct assistance or notifying appropriate personnel.
• Support the nursing care plan by performing delegated tasks.
• Maintain patient safety by properly using equipment and supplies.
• Manage medication and supply rooms to ensure availability of patient care items.
• Participate actively in cost containment and accurate patient service charging.
• Engage in educational and performance improvement activities.
• Perform waived testing and maintain necessary skills as per unit competency.
• Demonstrate commitment to customer satisfaction and efficient patient throughput.

Education and Certifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification mandatory.
• Current registration with the appropriate state nursing assistant registry.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.

Experience and Skills

• No prior experience required; training provided.
• Strong guest relations and communication skills.
• Ability to read and write English effectively.
