Billing Specialist - Waste Company

Position Overview

The  Billing Administrative Assistant is responsible for completing simple but important billing tasks that keep customer accounts accurate and up to date. This role focuses on adding fees, updating account information, and ensuring service changes are properly recorded.

⭐  Key Responsibilities

• Add cancelation fees and other standard charges to customer accounts
• Verify and document that carts/equipment were removed from customer locations
• Set up new  residential accounts with accurate customer information
• Update account notes, service details, and billing adjustments
• Assist with basic billing questions and account lookups
• Ensure all entries are accurate and follow company policies
• Communicate with internal teams when account corrections are needed
• Maintain organized digital records and daily task logs

⭐  Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in billing, customer service, or administrative work preferred
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Comfortable working with billing systems and basic computer programs
• Ability to multitask and manage simple daily workflows
• Clear communication skills and a positive, professional attitude
• Previous billing, accounts receivable, or administrative experience preferred
• Experience in waste management, trucking, or service industries is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
