Registered Nurse – Pediatric Float Pool (PICU/NICU)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 or 48 hours per week | Every other weekend required | Must work 2 of 3 winter holidays | Block scheduling cannot be accommodated

Key Responsibilities

• Float across multiple pediatric units including PICU, NICU, Pediatric Med/Surg, Pediatric PACU, Pediatric ED Boarders, and Postpartum/Mother Baby
• Provide direct patient care to pediatric and neonatal populations within scope of practice
• Adhere to facility float pool policies and unit-specific protocols
• Accurately document patient care and clinical information using Epic EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes across assigned units

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required
• NICU experience required; must be comfortable with both PICU and NICU patient populations
• Active RN license in Virginia (pending license accepted; must be in hand by the Wednesday prior to start date)
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS
• Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certification required (may be submitted as pending)
• Epic EMR experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous Pediatric PACU experience highly preferred
• Prior NICU/PICU float pool experience preferred
• BSN preferred
