Job Details:


• Day/Evening 12-hour shifts from 10:30 AM to 11:00 PM
• Every other weekend rotation required with some holiday coverage
• Night shift RN will assume charge duties and may be the only RN in the facility
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Patient ratio of 1:20 with 1 RN per hall and a med tech per hall; CNA ratio of 1:8-10 on days and 1:20 on nights
• Bedside Shift Reporting (BSSR), utilization of AIDET, and hourly rounding are required
• Travelers are required to float as needed
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Minimum 1 year of long-term care experience required
• Inpatient RN travelers must have two years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty they are submitting to
• Pass/Fail telemetry exam required prior to start with a passing score of 80% or higher; two attempts allowed
• Adult Exam requires 100% identification of lethal rhythms (ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole) and no incorrect answers on questions regarding 3rd degree heart blocks
• Pediatric Exam covers ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole, and sinus bradycardia
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA only), Wisconsin RN license or compact license

This long-term care facility operates with 66 beds and serves adult and geriatric patient populations with a daily census of approximately 60 patients. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary services.
