Job Title

Registered Nurse – Intermediate Care (IMC/PCU/Stepdown)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 36 Hours Per Week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed Medical Surgical Intermediate Care unit with heavy telemetry monitoring
• Manage a patient population including stable and weaning ventilator/trach patients, sepsis, trauma, alcohol detox, GI bleed, TBI, ortho trauma, spinal cord injury, and stroke
• Maintain a 4:1 patient ratio, including management of insulin drips and primary patient assignments
• Float to higher-acuity inpatient units as needed
• Adhere to weekend and holiday rotation requirements (every other weekend and every other holiday)
• Operate independently in a fast-paced environment, completing tasks efficiently and managing change effectively

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications through AHA or ARC
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience (firm requirement)
• Stepdown, Intermediate Care, or PCU experience required
• Ventilator and trach experience required
• At least one prior travel nursing assignment required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ICU experience preferred
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Experience with EPIC electronic health records preferred
