SummaryThe ERP Data Administrator - Manufacturing Engineering provides data administration and workflow support to the Manufacturing Engineering organization. The position maintains and monitors information, assignments, tasks, records, and status using company-approved ERP, product lifecycle management, task/work management, spreadsheet, reporting, document management, and other business systems or tools. Responsibilities include part and manufacturing data entry, task creation and assignment, workflow monitoring, departmental tracking, data reconciliation, documentation, status reporting, and follow-up with responsible personnel to support timely completion of Manufacturing Engineering activities.
This position works from established engineering documentation, drawings, bills of material (BOMs), specifications, procedures, and defined departmental processes. The position does not independently establish, approve, or modify engineering requirements. Technical or engineering discrepancies are routed to the appropriate responsible authority for resolution.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Perform accurate and timely entry, maintenance, and update of part, manufacturing, planning, and related departmental data within the company ERP system and other approved business systems.
- Create and maintain part master and related manufacturing records in accordance with established procedures, naming conventions, data standards, and authorization requirements.
- Review engineering drawings, BOMs, specifications, supplier information, change documentation, and other controlled source information to obtain required data for administrative entry and maintenance.
- Identify missing, incomplete, duplicate, inconsistent, or potentially conflicting information and coordinate with the responsible Manufacturing Engineer, Planner, Programmer, Quality representative, Purchasing representative, supervisor, or other subject matter expert for resolution.
- Create, update, assign, monitor, and close departmental tasks and action items within company-approved work management systems in accordance with established processes and direction.
- Monitor open tasks, due dates, aging items, priorities, dependencies, and incomplete information; perform routine follow-up with assigned personnel and escalate overdue or blocked work to appropriate leadership when required.
- Maintain departmental trackers, logs, spreadsheets, databases, dashboards, status reports, and other records used to manage Manufacturing Engineering workload and priorities.
- Perform routine data reconciliation and administrative audits between applicable systems and records to support data accuracy, consistency, completeness, traceability, and process compliance.
- Maintain electronic documentation, templates, standardized forms, work instructions, process records, and other departmental information in accordance with document-control and retention requirements.
- Prepare recurring and ad hoc status information for Manufacturing Engineering leadership, including open actions, workload status, overdue items, data-entry progress, and identified data discrepancies.
- Route work and information to appropriate personnel using established department rules, responsibilities, workflows, and priority direction.
- Support department personnel with routine system navigation, data-entry processes, status inquiries, and established administrative workflows; route technical system issues to the appropriate system owner or Information Technology resource.
- Assist with implementation and adoption of new or revised administrative processes, tools, templates, workflows, and data standards as directed.
- Prioritize and execute multiple daily tasks and ongoing assignments while maintaining accuracy, responsiveness, and required completion dates.
- Follow applicable company policies, quality requirements, change-control requirements, data-security practices, and aerospace manufacturing procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- This is a data administration and workflow-support position and does not require an engineering degree or independent engineering design authority.
- Does not independently determine, approve, release, or modify engineering design requirements, technical specifications, product configuration, or engineering changes.
- Does not own software development, programming, system architecture, security administration, or enterprise application configuration unless specifically trained and formally assigned within approved procedures.
- May identify discrepancies, initiate administrative actions, request clarification, and coordinate work to closure, but technical decisions remain with the designated engineering or functional authority.
This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities. The position may assign or route tasks and follow up on work status as part of established departmental workflow; such coordination does not constitute personnel supervision or engineering authority.
