Auto Mechanic 2nd Class

Job Summary And Responsibilities:

Under the direct supervision of the Fleet Maintenance Foreman, this position performs routine mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair and/or installation/replacement of minor component parts of all motorized vehicles and equipment; checks all fluid levels in vehicles, performs lube, oil and filter changes, performs engine tune ups, and maintains accurate records for the same; conducts safety inspections and conducts road and equipment tests; steam cleans and paints vehicles and equipment; other related duties.

Skills/Qualifications:

High School Diploma or certified equivalent; experience in lieu of education will be considered. Minimum of one-year relevant work experience. Must be certified to perform State of NH Vehicle Safety Inspections. ASE certifications or related equivalent a plus. Must possess CDL-B license or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire. Must be certified for Federal FMCSR or ability to be trained within 1 year of hire.
