Shipping and Receiving Specialist

The Shipping and Receiving Specialist accurately processes incoming and outgoing shipments, maintains inventory records, and performs high-volume data entry in a fast-paced environment. This role supports daily warehouse and inventory operations with a strong focus on precision, organization, and timely order handling, with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against documentation, and record all materials accurately in the system.
• Prepare, package, and label outgoing shipments in accordance with shipping requirements and company procedures.
• Perform heavy data entry to record shipping, receiving, and inventory transactions with a high level of accuracy.
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate inventory records, including counts, adjustments, and reconciliations.
• Organize, store, and track inventory to support efficient warehouse operations and product availability.
• Assist with inventory control activities, such as cycle counts and discrepancy investigations.
• Coordinate shipping and receiving activities to meet daily schedules and operational deadlines.
• Handle documentation related to shipments, including packing lists, shipping labels, and tracking information.
• Work collaboratively with team members and other departments to resolve shipping, receiving, and inventory issues.
• Support a clean, orderly, and safe work area in shipping, receiving, and inventory zones.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience in shipping and receiving operations.
• Demonstrated ability to perform heavy and high-volume data entry accurately.
• Hands-on experience with inventory handling and basic inventory control processes.
• Strong attention to detail when recording and verifying shipment and inventory information.
• Ability to follow established procedures for shipping, receiving, and inventory documentation.
• Organizational skills to manage multiple shipments and inventory tasks throughout the day.
• Basic computer literacy to enter and update data in inventory or shipping systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in an aviation or aerospace-related environment is a plus.
• Familiarity with inventory control practices and processes is beneficial.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a structured warehouse setting.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with coworkers and other departments.

Work Environment

This is a Contract position based out of Tulsa, OK.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
