PST Supervisor

Overview Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomy Supervisor in Chicago, IL. Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 8am-5pm, with additional days and hours as needed. Responsibilities Supervise a team of 25+ phlebotomists in Patient Service Centers and physicians' offices. Manage patient flow, wait times, inventory levels, and information logs. Monitor monthly productivity and report deviations. Coordinate phlebotomists' schedules efficiently. Perform operational duties such as payroll, monthly schedules, and performance appraisals. Partner with Human Resources on employee relations and disciplinary actions. Hire and train phlebotomists to fill open positions. Communicate effectively with internal and external customers including patients, client office staff, sales team, logistics and senior management. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and clients. Assist in setting up new Patient Service Centers or Client Offices. Resolve any patient or client issues. Perform, collect, and prepare specimens when needed. Travel to additional sites as necessary. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency. 1 year or more of leadership experience. 3+ years experience as a phlebotomist. Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Must be at least 21 years old and have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record. Able to pass a standardized color blindness test. Salary Salary Range: $40,000 – $79,000 per year. All job offers will be based on the candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data. Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, paying a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics. Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision. Life, STD, LTD. 401(k).
