Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room / Med Surg

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days (0700–1930, rotating shifts including nights and weekends based on staffing needs) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Implement the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and documentation of patient responses to actual or potential health problems
• Perform dependent, interdependent, and independent nursing functions across the continuum of care
• Work across both the Emergency Room and Med Surg departments as staffing needs require
• Utilize EPIC for electronic charting and Omnicell for automated medication dispensing
• Provide weekend coverage on a rotating basis with staff; potential for on-call assignments
• Float to other units and departments as needed within the facility

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg RN experience
• ER training with ability to work in both Med Surg and Emergency Room settings
• Active Minnesota RN License
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• TNCC or CALS certification required for ED practice
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, and float to other units

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a Critical Access Hospital setting
• PALS certification preferred
• 1–2 years of combined Med Surg and ER experience
