Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A family-owned independent pharmacy is seeking a licensed pharmacist for maternity leave coverage through the end of November. This role offers experience in a traditional retail pharmacy setting, utilizing the PioneerRx system. The pharmacy environment is supportive and collaborative, working alongside two pharmacy technicians with primarily solo pharmacist responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Perform prescription verification and ensure accuracy in all dispensing activities
- Provide patient counseling to support medication adherence and health outcomes
- Oversee workflow to maintain efficient pharmacy operations
- Administer immunizations and vaccines as needed
- Collaborate with pharmacy technicians to deliver exceptional patient care
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday with potential schedule fluctuations based on PRN pharmacist availability
- Rotating Saturday shifts required; pharmacists working Saturdays receive an additional day off during that week
- Pharmacy closed on Thanksgiving Day
- Training days may be available prior to assignment start, depending on timing
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid pharmacist license in the state
- Experience with retail pharmacy, preferably independent pharmacy setting
- Proficiency with PioneerRx system is a plus
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently while supporting a small team
Location: Phillips, Wisconsin
