Shift: Days, Weekends, Rotating

Hours Per Week: 40 hour/week

Hiring range: $19.38-$25.20


The actual compensation for this position will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

This position is eligible for additional compensation based on the shifts worked.

• Weekday evening shift - additional 10%
• Weekday night shift - an additional 15%
• Weekend day shift - an additional 10%
• Weekend evening & night shifts - an additional 21%

Responsibilities:

• May draw and collect blood samples according to policy. Receive, centrifuge, accession, process and transport specimens. Verifies all related records.
• Works pending lists, orders add-on tests, and resolves duplicate orders.
• Sets up instruments. Maintains, cleans, and sterilizes equipment and work area following safety, cleanliness, and infection control procedures.
• Performs clerical duties which may include answering phones, reviewing EKGs, collecting patient demographic data for patient registration, ordering tests, ABNs, data entry and filing.

Complexity of Work: Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal
supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment.

Education: High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of three (3) years phlebotomy experience preferred.
