Boar's Head Provisions Co., Inc. is hiring for a role responsible for packaging productions in appropriate bags with correct sell-by dates, ensuring efficiency and profitability while operating machinery safely.
Responsibilities
- Perform tasks assigned by the department supervisor.
- Work safely and ensure product specifications are met.
- Perform job assignments cost-consciously.
- Satisfy internal and external customer requirements.
- Be on time each workday.
- Work as a team player and communicate with other department members.
- Be flexible with various job assignments and working conditions.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures, plant rules, and policies.
- Pick up 16 pounds repetitively.
- Install, remove, clean, and re-tape seal bars.
- Straighten and align each bag on the seal bar.
- Keep pace with the line.
- Adjust line speed for various products.
- Be involved in lubrication of 8600.
- Start and stop the 8600 machine.
- Be involved in set-up and tear-down/put-away.
- Bring equipment problems to the supervisor or lead person.
- Monitor correct and legible sell-by dated product.
Qualifications
- Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
