Specimen Processor IILabcorp is seeking a Specimen Processor II to join our team in Columbia, TN.Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 1pm-9:30pm, potential mandatory over timeJob Responsibilities:Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testingCommunicate effectively with client office staffResearch, troubleshoot and resolve customer and specimen problemsMeet department activity and production goalsData entry of patient information in an accurate and timely mannerAccurately identify and label specimensPack and ship specimens to proper testing facilitiesScrub requisitions to ensure samples are prepared and missing items are updatedDo spinning/freezing/splitting and other special services as needed based on clientMinimum Qualifications:High School diploma or GED or equivalent1 year or more of experience in a medical/clinical laboratory experiencePreferred Qualifications:1 year or more of experience in the healthcare industry, such as a physician's office, clinic or hospital1 year of experience in an assembly or manufacturing production environmentAdditional Job Standards:Comfortable handling biological specimensAbility to accurately identify specimensExperience working in a team environmentStrong data entry and organizational skillsHigh level of attention to detailExperience with MS OfficeAbility to lift up to 40lbs.Able to pass a standardized color blindness testAre you organized, accountable, and have always gone the extra mile to make sure things are done right?
