Job Title: RN - CVICU Profession: Nursing Specialty: Critical Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year of ICU experience License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Advanced cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring skills - Experience with ventilator care and drug titration - Knowledge of continuous cardiac monitoring Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse for our CVICU. This position involves caring for patients with critical cardiovascular conditions. The unit has 8 beds with an average daily census of 7. Patients may present with myocardial infarction, surgical needs, or respiratory failure. Continuous monitoring of cardiac, respiratory, hemodynamic, and neurologic status is required. The ideal candidate will have experience with pharmacological support and advanced hemodynamic management. Patient-to-nurse ratios are typically 1:2, with higher needs requiring 1:1 care. Floats may occur within scope of practice, specifically to MedSurg with capped ratios. Utilization of advanced technology and equipment is expected, including EMR and specialized monitoring devices.
