Payroll Coordinator

Payroll CoordinatorThe Payroll Coordinator is responsible for compiling and processing employee payroll and time data using an automated payroll and time-keeping systems. This person will work closely with the store and corporate management in processing, computing and entering payroll data into the payroll system.Overview of ResponsibilitiesReview time sheets, PTO requests and other information to ensure accurate recording of employee's timeEnter employee information into payroll and/or time-keeping systems as neededProcess vacation payout requestsVerify attendance, hours worked, and pay adjustments, and post information onto designated recordsIssue and record adjustments to pay related to previous errors or retroactive increasesEnters all direct deposit information in HRIS systemEnter all tax updates in HRIS systemProcess final pay utilizing manual checks and Pay Card processing per State guidelinesReceive and send all garnishments to third-party vendor for processingPrepare and send Medical Support Orders per agency guidelinesProperly file all payroll records for each pay periodProvide time-keeping support and training to end-usersPrepare and review payroll reports to ensure employees are accurately paidMaintains complete confidentiality of all payroll records and reportsEnsures regulatory compliance to all applicable Federal, State and local laws and regulationsResponds to payroll-related requests for information from employees, and from outside entitiesResearches and remains current on federal and state payroll law and other applicable laws and regulations affecting payroll administrationPerforms all work duties and activities in accordance with Sprouts' policies and proceduresPerforms other duties as assigned by SupervisorQualificationsHigh school diploma with some college courses preferred in Accounting, Finance, Bookkeeping and Payroll, or an acceptable combination of education and experienceMinimum 2 years' experience in processing payrollProficient in Microsoft Office Suite requiredRequires strong organizational skills and ability to effectively manage multiple prioritiesExcellent interpersonal and communication skills to work well with all levels of employees in the organizationDemonstrated ability to successfully fulfill the required knowledge, skills, and abilitiesBenefitsIn addition to a rewarding career, Sprouts offers a comprehensive program to help support you and your family.
