Cloud Platform Engineer We are looking for a Cloud Platform Engineer with experience in AWS cloud technology, programming skills in Python or Go, and a strong Linux foundation. The role involves developing custom software components, integrating open‑source code, and leveraging cutting‑edge Big Data/Cloud solutions. The ideal candidate works autonomously to identify and solve problems quickly while aligning with strategic goals set by team architects. Work is performed in a hybrid environment with a great team. Responsibilities Strong systems integrator with an eye for enhancing, optimizing, or improving robustness of existing code base Experience with infrastructure as code to define, build, and manage virtual infrastructure in the cloud Design and implement core architecture and capabilities for software, from prototype to operational applications Other duties as assigned Requirements Five or more years of platform engineering or software development experience (Python or Go). A bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an alternative combination: three years of experience with a master’s degree, or high school diploma with nine years of experience. The expected salary range for this position, depending on education and years of experience is $150,000 – $265,000. Partial telework is allowed. A current U.S. Government Security clearance is not required at start, but will be processed for a Secret level clearance; U.S. citizenship is required. This position will travel to San Antonio, TX an average of 3‑4 days every three months and requires a hybrid presence 1‑2 days per week at our Columbia, MD office.
