Shipping & Receiving Associate II

Kelly Services is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Associate II for a growing aerospace manufacturing company. We are looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented professional with experience in shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material handling. Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, count, and process incoming shipments.
• Verify shipping and receiving documentation, including manifests, invoices, packing slips, and bills of lading.
• Prepare and process outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with customer requirements.
• Pack, label, and prepare materials for shipment using hand tools, power tools, and shipping equipment.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Move materials throughout the facility to support production and inventory needs.
• Perform visual inspections of incoming and outgoing materials to ensure quality standards are met.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, shortages, and documentation issues.
• Process hazardous material shipments while adhering to all applicable regulations and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records.
• Utilize ERP systems, transportation vendor platforms, RF scanners, and customer shipment systems.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock replenishment.
• Collaborate with production, purchasing, quality, sales, and warehouse teams to support workflow and customer satisfaction.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and basic preventive maintenance on shipping and receiving equipment.
• Follow all safety procedures, including 6S, SDS, and FOD requirements.

Qualifications

• Previous shipping and receiving experience required.
• Experience in a manufacturing or aerospace environment preferred.
• Forklift experience required.
• Knowledge of inventory control and warehouse operations.
• Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and work orders.
• Experience handling hazardous materials is a plus.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, shipping software, and scanning technology.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to lift, move, and transport materials as required.
