JOB SUMMARY:

The Meat Clerk's role is to assist and support the Meat Department -- by providing a high level of customer service and practice safe food handling procedures and performs a variety of tasks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

* Will have stocking and merchandising responsibilities in both the fresh and frozen cases.

* Update Product pricing as necessary.

* Ensures product's quality, protections, accuracy, and proper rotation in coolers.

* Rewrap meat packages as needed.

* Maintains a safe and clean working environment to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation requirements.

* Ensures great customer experience.

* Maintains pork rind rack clean and organized.

* Keeps meat displays clean and presentable.

* Store cleaning supplies properly.

* Advertising department products.

* 5:00 am start time.

* Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

* High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

* 1+ years meat department experience

* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and use the hands to handle objects, tools or controls.

* Successful performance requires vision abilities that include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

* The work environment is that typical of an office and retail store. The noise level ranges from quiet to loud.

* Heavy work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

* The worker is subject to inside environmental conditions: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Walk and work in Freezer and Refrigerator Cooler as needed throughout the day.
