Job Description You’re an enthusiastic cook who loves experimenting with flavors and cooking styles. As a Cook at Aramark, you’ll help bring recipes to life by preparing a variety of food while following production guidelines, safety procedures, and maintaining excellent customer service. Compensation Hourly rate: $29.25. Job Responsibilities Prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes. Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and equipment. Measure, weigh, mix, chop, trim, and peel food items. Safely use utensils, including knives. Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, and mixers. Utilize various cooking methods including baking, roasting, broiling, steaming, and sautéing. Arrange, garnish, and portion food according to established guidelines. Store food properly by following food safety policies and procedures. Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils. Maintain a positive demeanor toward guests, customers, clients, and co‑workers. Adhere to Aramark safety policies and procedures. Protect company assets. Qualifications Experience as a cook or in a related role. Knowledge of basic food preparation principles, cooking methods, and food safety regulations. Ability to obtain food safety certification. Basic math and counting skills. Strong interpersonal communication skills in both written and verbal forms. Physical Demands May require lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended walking and standing. Uniforms or personal protective equipment may be required.
