Your Daily Responsibilities

• Performing thorough patient assessments, ordering necessary diagnostics, and creating personalized care plans
• Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic health conditions in collaboration with physicians or independently (depending on your certification)
• Educating patients and families on preventive care, health maintenance, and managing illnesses
• Prescribing medications and therapies within your scope of practice
• Engaging in patient follow-ups and chronic care management

• Maintaining accurate documentation within electronic medical records (EMR)

Educational Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Key Certifications Required

• Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in Oklahoma
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
