Mission Activision Central Technology seeks a passionate Software Engineer, Automation and Data to help us take our cutting‑edge games to the next level. Automated tests are essential for detecting and reporting defects, enabling developers to collaborate efficiently and iterating on compelling gameplay while unburdening the QA team and increasing overall coverage. We run multiple online services that require highly scalable infrastructure and need help building new features and productionizing our internal products. If you are passionate about writing tests, building tools, instrumenting telemetry, and analyzing data, this opportunity will allow you to impact a game played by millions around the world. Responsibilities Collaborate with automation and data engineers to enhance, evaluate, and scale automated testing features. Improve tools and workflows for efficient test development, data analysis, and debugging. Support Activision studios globally in designing automation strategies and developing automated tests to identify defects. Analyze results, increase automated coverage, and maintain infrastructure for performance, stability, and data integrity. Create tools to boost QA productivity, research new techniques, and work with QA leadership to plan and evolve processes. Minimum Requirements Minimum of 3 years’ programming experience with Python, and C++ or C#. Proficiency programming with SQL. Experience developing test frameworks. Proficiency in data engineering and analytics. Experience working in a distributed systems environment. Experience working within gaming. Knowledge & Skills Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related field, or equivalent experience. Knowledge of online services, DevOps, and cloud infrastructure. Deep grasp of computer architecture, networks, and operating systems. Key Attributes Strong passion for automation and software testing. Self‑motivated, strong sense of independence. Extra Points Experience developing console games. Experience working in a collaborative team environment. Experience in a management or leadership position. Additional Knowledge & Skills Familiarity with QA methodologies. Knowledge of Git, Puppet, Grafana, Perforce, Linux, Flask. Additional Key Attributes Passion for video games, especially FPS games. Compensation In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $77,500.00 - $143,376.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. The specific range and offer will be based on relevant experience, performance, and work location.
