Locums - Cottonwood, Arizona Interventional Cardiology Opportunity (IMLC Accepted) Clinical Role RecruitWell is seeking a Board Certified Interventional Cardiologist for ongoing locums coverage in Cottonwood, Arizona. This role alternates between hospital and clinic coverage by week and includes STEMI management, Cardiology consultations, TEE, and outpatient clinic care. IMLC candidates are accepted, and there is time to obtain an Arizona license. Assignment Details Coverage dates: January 25-29, 2027 February 8-12, 15-19, and 22-26, 2027 March 8-12 and 22-26, 2027 March 29-April 2, 2027 April 19-23, 2027 May 24-28, 2027 June 28-July 2, 2027 July 5-9, 2027 August 16-20 and August 30-September 3, 2027 September 13-17, 2027 October 25-29, 2027 November 1-5, 22-26, and November 29-December 3, 2027 December 20-24 and 27-31, 2027 Monday-Friday: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM 30-minute unpaid lunch Ongoing coverage Weekly rotation between hospital and clinic settings Position Highlights Interventional Cardiology opportunity Mix of hospital and clinic coverage STEMI and Cardiology consult responsibilities TEE volume typically 1-2 per day Approximately 8-14 hospital consults per day Approximately 18-24 clinic patients per day IMLC accepted Licensing assistance available 30-day credentialing timeframe Clinical Details & Responsibilities Provide Interventional Cardiology coverage in both hospital and clinic settings Manage STEMI cases Perform Cardiology consultations Perform TEE as needed Evaluate and manage outpatient Cardiology patients Collaborate closely with onsite clinical staff Provide care primarily to patients age 60 and older Support & Technology Medical Assistant support Patient Care Technician support Nursing support Physician Assistant support for in-house coverage EMR: Cerner No Cardiothoracic Surgery backup Requirements Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology required Active Arizona license or IMLC pathway accepted ACLS required BLS required Minimum 2 years of experience required Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills preferred Credentialing Approximately 30 days Organization has time to license qualified candidates IMLC candidates accepted Organization & Team Cardiovascular Institute setting Combination of hospital and clinic responsibilities Clinical focus includes STEMI coverage, consultations, TEE, and outpatient Cardiology Collaborative support from MA, PCT, nursing, and PA staff About Cottonwood, Arizona Location & Access: Cottonwood is located in Arizona's Verde Valley, between Sedona and Prescott, with convenient access to some of northern Arizona's most scenic destinations.
