Economist - Senior Economic Policy Advisor

The Research Division of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis is seeking research economists to support the formulation of U.S. policy through expert analysis of economic developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality economic research for publication, including acceptance of articles in peer-reviewed journals, chapters, and working papers.
• Contribute to the Division’s research environment through active participation in seminars and engaging with visiting scholars.
• Provide analysis of economic issues in support of pre-FOMC preparations and other System policy activities.
• Contribute to the public’s understanding of relevant economic issues.

Qualifications

• A Ph.D. in economics is required.
• Demonstrated outstanding scholarly achievement and professional reputation through peer‑reviewed publications in top-tier journals and other professional activity.
