SummaryThe maintenance manager manages a department of 15 to 20 direct reports. Key responsibilities include: Ensure preventative maintenance is being performed on all machines and equipment. Must be robust in ensuring machines and production equipment remains in excellent operating condition and the equipment is capable of performing to the requirements of production demand 24/7. Must have a high sense of urgency and be on call 24/7. Must have a strong background in production machine & equipment troubleshooting and maintenance.Essential Functions24/7 commitment that includes working weekends as required and being on call 24/7.Ensure preventative maintenance is being performed on machines and equipment as required of machine maintenance program.Ensure maintenance staff receives proper training and staff is capable of performing the expected job requirements.Ensure adequate level of spare parts inventory is available at all times.Must have the capabilities to minimize and eliminate machine & equipment downtime.Have a hands on approach and be willing to work on plant floor.Responsible for the effective control and management of all labor, cost and parts.Be a team player and use to working in an environment that strives for continuous improvement.Must ensure all safety and company policies are being followed and enforced.Have an analytical and systematic approach to problem solving.Must be open minded and a can do attitude.Accustomed to working in a fast paced environment that is changing.Able to multi–task and work with minimal supervision.Essential Physical FunctionsFrequently move objects weighing up to 50 lbs.Capable of remaining in a stationary position for a long period of time.Constantly positioning self to maintain equipment.Must be able to withstand working in all weather conditions.Be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery.Physical Demands / Environmental Factors and ConditionsPerforms duties in and around moving mechanical parts.Performs duties in a non-climate controlled manufacturing plant.Wet and humid conditions at times.High noise environment.Exposure to dust.May be subject to hazardous chemicals and fumes.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities RequiredExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent computer skills to include: MS, SAP and Excel.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong background in electrical program controllers, motors, drives and components.Experience with SAP and Prevent Maintenance software computer programs.Strong hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical skills.Can read, write, and comprehend procedures English.Ability to successfully lead others.Ability to multi-taskQualificationsBachelor’s degree, but will accept a combination of education and work experience.Minimum of 5 to 10 years maintenance management experience.DisclaimersThe employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, and if requested, reasonable accommodations will be made to enable employees with disabilities to perform the essential functions of their job, absent of undue hardship.The employer retains the right to change or assign other duties to this position, with or without advance notice. #J-18808-Ljbffr SCHUTZ CONTAINER SYSTEMS INC
