Job Opportunity: Obstetrician-Gynecologist Hospitalist

Our organization is looking for a dedicated obstetrician-gynecologist hospitalist to join our clinical practice, focusing on the diagnosis and management of standard obstetric and gynecological care, as well as conditions related to the female reproductive system.

This full-time role (1.0 FTE) within our Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison involves a combination of twelve-hour day and night shifts as a hospitalist/laborist. There may also be opportunities to cover in the OBGYN Resident Continuity Clinic (RCC).

• Manage triage, labor, and delivery processes.
• Collaborate with Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Certified Nurse Midwifery teams.
• Oversee and provide clinical education to medical students, residents, and other learners.
• Conduct Ob/Gyn consultations, including those from the Emergency Department.
• Work in partnership with colleagues from other departments, UW Health, and Meriter-UnityPoint.
• Develop and supervise postpartum care plans.
• Collaborate with division leadership and department administration to enhance nocturnist/laborist operations and improve patient satisfaction.
• Engage in administrative tasks and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly objectives of our organization.

• Board Certification or Eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• For appointments at the Associate Professor or Professor rank on the CHS Track, candidates must meet the criteria established by the department and outlined in the School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines.
• For Clinical Associate Professor or Clinical Professor rank on the CT Track, candidates must also meet the relevant departmental criteria.
