- Summary:
- We are seeking an experienced Landscape Shop Mechanic to maintain and repair a variety of landscaping equipment and company vehicles.
- The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical abilities and experience working with small engines and/or commercial equipment.
- This position will work closely with the Service Manager to keep equipment and vehicles in safe, reliable working condition.
- The successful candidate will be hands-on, dependable, organized, and take pride in the quality of their work.
- This is a full-time position with some overtime and occasional Saturday hours.
- Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair a variety of lawn care and small-engine equipment, from line trimmers and blowers to commercial zero-turn mowers.
- Perform ongoing preventative maintenance and repairs on Chevy trucks and company vehicles.
- Repair and maintain company landscaping equipment as needed to minimize downtime.
- Assist the Service Manager with vehicle maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
- Keep the shop clean, organized, and properly maintained to promote a safe and efficient work environment.
- Requirements:
- 2-3 years of mechanical experience required, preferably with landscaping, lawn care, small-engine, or commercial equipment.
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience working with small engines and various lawn care equipment is preferred.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Must be dependable, organized, and able to work independently.
- Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to work Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-4:30 PM, with occasional overtime and rare Saturday hours.
- Personal tools are a plus.
- Must be able to pass a drug test and background check
