Assistant Store Manager

Nowhere Store LLC — Stamford, Connecticut

Nowhere Store is seeking a motivated, dependable, and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team in Stamford, CT.

Nowhere is a fast-paced sneaker, streetwear, and designer resale store specializing in buying, selling, and trading new and pre-owned sneakers, clothing, accessories, and luxury goods. We are looking for someone who can help oversee daily store operations, lead by example, drive sales, and deliver an excellent customer experience.

Responsibilities

-Assist with managing day-to-day store operations and maintaining an organized, professional sales floor
-Lead and support sales associates throughout their shifts
-Provide excellent customer service and build relationships with new and returning customers
-Help drive daily and monthly sales goals
-Assist customers with buying, selling, and trading merchandise
-Maintain strong knowledge of sneakers, streetwear, designer clothing, accessories, and current market trends
-Help ensure products are accurately priced, tagged, displayed, and organized
-Monitor inventory and communicate inventory needs or discrepancies
-Assist with opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and register reconciliation
-Help train new employees and reinforce store procedures and expectations
-Handle customer questions, concerns, and difficult situations professionally
-Maintain store cleanliness, merchandising standards, and overall presentation
-Help identify opportunities to improve sales, customer experience, and store efficiency
-Take responsibility for store operations when the Store Manager is unavailable
-Help maintain a positive, productive, and accountable work environment

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate is someone who is reliable, organized, confident, sales-driven, and comfortable taking initiative . This position requires someone who can move quickly, multitask, communicate well, and take ownership rather than waiting to be told what needs to be done.

Retail or management experience is strongly preferred. Knowledge of sneakers, streetwear, designer fashion, and the resale market is a major plus.

Qualifications

-Previous retail, sales, or customer-service experience
-Management or leadership experience preferred
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-Excellent organization and attention to detail
-Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
-Ability to lead and hold team members accountable
-Dependable, punctual, and professional
-Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
-Familiarity with sneakers, streetwear, luxury fashion, and resale culture is a huge plus
-Ability to work weekends and during high-volume retail periods as needed
