Looking for a PE or a preferred vendor as a 1099 Consulting Forensic Engineer. Projects include working with FBS Consultants to co-author causation reports. Responsibilities include:

·       File review

·       Travel to job sites to conduct building condition assessments.

·       Bifurcation of various types of damages including causation of storm, fire, flood, seismic and construction defects.

·       Wiliness to sit for depositions and/or other legal matters regarding said buildings.

Experience:

Must be a Professional Engineer and hold a PE in several states.
Must have experience testifying in court
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience investigation causation damage.
Understanding of various coverage issues related to property damage.
Ability to understand moving parts and work with multiple departments.
Strong technical report writing and editing skills
Working Knowledge of Building Codes and Standards
Ability to perform inspections, including working from ladders, lifts, scaffolds, swing stages, and sloped rooftops.
Background on ASTM and AAMA window testing a plus
Review and analyze repair cost estimates created by team members - familiarity with Xactimate is a plus.
Excellent interpersonal and written communication.
Work independently in remote environments (field and home office).
Continuing Education classes related to Building Inspections, Building Failures, Building Codes.

Professional Engineer-NCEES
IBEC Certification
MUST HAVE deposition and trial testimony experience (Minimum of 5 depositions and at least 3 trials.)
Please provide list of depositions and court cases you have testified in.

PE in several states
Approachable demeanor
Ability to work in safely and efficiently, under and around buildings of all varieties, sizes and heights.
Articulate and professional communication skills
Willing to pass a background check
