Position Overview

We are seeking a Full-Time RN for Acute Care in Cardiac Telemetry. As a Clinical Nurse, you will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team comprising both licensed and unlicensed caregivers. Your role will focus on delivering personalized, high-quality, and safe patient care. You will operate within a clinical setting guided by Nurse Managers and supported by our Shared Governance Model. Your practice will be informed by our Professional Practice Model, evidence-based practices, and research. All RN competencies are aligned with these frameworks and are reinforced by our core values.

Key Responsibilities

• Exemplary Practice and Outcomes:
  • Utilize the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation) to provide clinical care based on evidence-based practices, ensuring individualized care and effective coordination.
  • Deliver patient-centered care that respects population-specific characteristics (such as age, gender, and health conditions) while adapting services to reflect cultural diversity.
  • Engage with patients and their significant others, utilizing appropriate methods for communication (e.g., bedside shift reports, interdisciplinary rounds) to keep them informed and focused on their care goals.
  • Adhere to current clinical practice standards.
• Teamwork and Collaboration:
  • Coordinate and document safe, quality patient care that aligns with our professional care delivery model, employing diverse communication methods and ensuring timely documentation.
  • Exhibit teamwork by practicing in a fiscally responsible manner that encourages the recruitment and retention of healthcare team members.
  • Engage in performance improvement initiatives, supporting all stakeholders and participating in shared governance at all levels.
• Professional Development and Initiative:
  • Complete all required initial and ongoing competency assessments and mandatory education.
  • Act as a preceptor or mentor for fellow nurses and other staff to foster a qualified workforce and promote a healthy work environment.
• Evidence-Based Practice and Research:
  • Encourage evidence-based practices and nursing research, participating in value analysis to evaluate patient care products.
  • Comply with all organizational policies, procedures, and clinical competencies, ensuring adherence to legal and accreditation standards.
  • Engage in data collection and pose relevant clinical questions to advance evidence-based practices.
• Resources and Support:
  • Plan proactively for patient care across the continuum while delivering direct care.
  • Contribute to the development of protocols and procedures in collaboration with care managers and team members to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Support the efficient use of human and material resources.

Other duties may be assigned as needed. Compliance with all organizational policies, standards of work, and code of conduct is expected.

Qualifications

• Education:
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Licenses and Certifications:
  • RN - Registered Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - Multi-state Compact required upon hire.
  • BLS - Basic Life Support or equivalent certification required.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of direct patient care nursing experience required.
• Skills:
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English; basic computer skills are essential.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, along with excellent customer service abilities.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies with composure and respect.
  • Demonstrates effective time management and critical thinking skills, utilizing evidence-based practices.
