Dental Hygienist

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate individual to join our growing dental department as a Dental Hygienist. The Dental Hygienist provides direct patient care consistent with granted privileges and the IHCRC Mission, Vision, and Values. Essential job functions: Demonstrates clinical competency in the performance of scaling and root planning, dental prophylaxis, and the administration of local anesthetics. Examines teeth and gums for signs of disease, decay or pathology. Charts such conditions for further diagnosis and treatment by the dentist. Reviewing patient charts prior to appointment to ensure periodontal charting is up to date and appropriate procedure is planned. Consults with dentists as needed. Provides dental screenings, patient education, and community outreach as directed by supervisor. Works efficiently to ensure that patients are seated in a timely manner and maintains an appropriate patient load. Assists dental director with championing GPRA measures, AAAHC preparedness, and quality improvement. Follows safety procedures, utilizes protective equipment and maintains infection control protocols at all times. Always treats all patients and co-workers with good customer service and respect.
