Job Details Job Location: 1077 N Emerson - Greenwood, IN 46143 Salary Range: $62,000.00 - $90,000.00 Restaurant General Manager Job Purpose The Restaurant General Manager provides leadership to ensure that all team members are guest-focused, team-focused, and community-connected. The manager will exercise knowledge of restaurant operations, manage staff resources, provide counsel, training, develop and coach staff, and build sales and profits while maintaining operating standards. The Restaurant General Manager is responsible for the overall operation of the assigned restaurant, ensuring the overall integrity of the Buffalo Wild Wings brand and meeting financial and operating goals. Restaurant General Manager Specific Responsibilities Team Create, implement and execute the overall business staff plan, ensuring proper staffing levels are maintained by each Department Manager to build sales. Prepare the manager schedule to ensure proper business coverage according to global quality manager schedule guidelines. Oversee the human resource management function, ensuring 100% compliance with all federal, state and local laws and regulations, company policies, guidelines and procedures. Ensure all employee benefits are communicated to all Department Managers, Restaurant Support Managers and Hourly Team Members. Provide performance feedback and recognition to all employees on an ongoing and timely basis, including manager one‑on‑ones and performance reviews. Hold Department Managers, Restaurant Support Managers and Hourly Team Members accountable for contributing to team and company objectives. Create and maintain an open door policy with all managers and team members allowing for open and honest communication, consistency of standards and appreciation for contributions and suggestions. Effectively train and develop managers, with a particular focus on Department Managers and Managers in training. Develop and follow up on Individual Development Plans and performance improvement action plans for all managers. Conduct informative, focused weekly manager meetings that include a written agenda. Model effective pre‑shift meetings, build camaraderie and solicit feedback. Ensure all managers are holding effective pre‑shift meetings. Ensure effective communication occurs to and amongst all Department Managers, Restaurant Support Managers and Hourly Team Members. Build positive, professional relationships with all managers and team members, ensuring positive morale and a fun work environment. Follow up and ensure recognition and reward programs are in place in each department to recognize superior performance. Maintain/achieve all turnover and retention targets. Model exemplary leadership behaviors and skills and ensure all managers follow this lead. Guest Ensure that all managers and team members are guest‑focused first, displaying hospitality skills consistently. Respond to guest comments and criticism in a constructive, positive and timely manner, turning opportunities into guest count growth. Actively look for, identify and implement techniques to attract new guests. Build positive, professional relationships with members of businesses and other organizations in the community. Deliver superior Guest Loyalty Index results through outstanding guest service and product quality at all times. Ensure proper staffing levels to provide superior guest service at all times. Ensure adherence to all training standards, ensuring all staff are properly trained to deliver outstanding results. Deliver a WOW experience for every guest, every time. Quality Operations Leverage compliance/feedback information (GEM, QSC’s, Steritech audits, Mystery Shop feedback, etc.) to improve overall restaurant performance. Ensure adherence to company‑specified systems, tools and procedures for proper shift execution by all team members and managers. Ensure Serve Safe Food, Responsible Alcohol Service (RAS) and HACCP standards are strictly adhered to. Ensure adherence to all city, county, state and federal laws and regulations related to the food and beverage industry. Keep current on and ensure the implementation of new programs, policies, procedures and product promotions. Maintain high quality service and cleanliness standards at all times. Ensure managers hold team members accountable for adherence to all cleaning schedules. Consistently deliver the Buffalo Wild Wings experience through superior AV management and sports awareness. Sales and Profits Create, develop and implement an effective local store marketing plan within budgeted parameters; use Home Team Advantage and Eat Wings / Raise Funds programs. Approve all department schedules to ensure acceptable overall labor results and guest satisfaction. Maintain utility conservation awareness and teach managers to control utility costs. Reconcile profit and loss statements, calculate results, conduct analysis and communicate results to the management team. Establish daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly sales goals/forecasts to meet or exceed budgeted expectations. Conduct effective Period Business Review Meetings. Meet or exceed budgeted profit goals, react to trends and troubleshoot problem areas. Effectively break down sales and profit goals ensuring manager understanding and goal achievement. Hold Department Managers accountable for department P&L line‑item responsibility and coach them to achieve agreed goals. Grow sales through an outstanding guest experience. Ensure all safety and security policies are followed, including all loss prevention actions. Utilize key financial tools and control systems such as Aspect, Back Office, BQI, etc. Complete all other assigned duties or tasks. Qualifications Highly motivated, self‑directed, results driven with strong organizational skills, attention to detail and professional written and verbal communication skills. Possess the ability and desire to create a fun, exciting environment for both guests and team members alike. Have solid skills with basic mathematical computations. Have a proven track record of successfully managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced work environment. Maintain confidential information, adhere to and enforce company policies, programs and compliance issues. Qualified candidates will possess a minimum of two years of restaurant or retail management experience; experience managing a restaurant with a full bar is preferred. Complete a high school education or equivalent; have a valid driver’s license to travel between units; pass a satisfactory background check; and meet the physical demands of the position. Successfully complete the Buffalo Wild Wings Management Certification program.
