Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics with the aid of standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Create tailored treatment plans aimed at addressing both immediate objectives and long-term communication or swallowing goals.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions targeted at enhancing language, speech fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
• Work closely with a collaborative team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and family members, to build comprehensive care strategies.
• Educate patients and their families to foster progress beyond the clinical environment.
• Occasionally aid with inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring a seamless continuum of care throughout the recovery journey.
• Keep up-to-date documentation that adheres to state, federal, and organizational requirements.
• Pursue ongoing education and engage with peers to stay informed about advancements in the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification obtained within 30 days of hire.
