About This Job

The mission of Pinecrest Supports and Services Center is to support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to reach treatment goals and to return to more integrated community living settings. Pinecrest Supports & Services Center specializes in the treatment of people with comorbid intellectual and developmental disabilities and complex medical, behavioral, and psychiatric support needs.

Pinecrest Supports & Services Center (PSSC) is seeking a dedicated Mobile Equipment Operator 1 to transport individuals supported by Pinecrest and staff members. We are looking for a dedicated individual who will pick up and transport individuals from and to their various homes, day programs, work sites, and other on-grounds locations via the VAN/SHUTTLE BUS.

Job Duties and Other Information

Job Duties:

  • Transport individuals to doctors' appointments, assuring they have the best possible health.
  • Operate the Van/Shuttle Bus on weekends at shift change to help with infection control issues
  • Transport employees assigned to monitor individuals at appointments and hospitals to assigned locations and back.
  • Pick up medical charts, supplies, and equipment from on- and off-ground hospitals, doctors' offices and pharmacies to deliver to individuals' homes and nursing departments.
  • Co-instruct the teaching of the 15-passenger van training for all of the weekly new hires in Staff Training (SHUTTLE BUS).
  • Maintain vehicle and equipment daily.
  • Perform oil, tire, gas, and fluid level checks.
  • Complete vehicle mileage logs daily and vehicle checklists at the end of the month.
  • Assist PSSC Police by escorting ambulances and visitors to various locations on Pinecrest grounds.

Position-Specific Details: Location: Pinecrest Supports and Services Center - Home Life Dispatch Appointment Type: This position may be filled by Probation, Promotion, Demotion, Lateral Transfer, Detail to Special Duty or Job Appointment Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM Pass Days: Saturday and Sunday Compensation: $16.06/hour - $28.90/hour
