IT Asset Management Specialist II

Job DescriptionGeneral PurposeSupport all phases of the enterprise IT Asset Management (ITAM) process for hardware, software, operational technology, or other IT assets, ensuring the enterprise is equipped with appropriate assets. Responsibilities encompass the entire asset lifecycle, from procurement through to offboarding and decommissioning. Support vendor relationships and assist with agreement administration. Apply working knowledge of ITAM processes and execute on multiple assignments.Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesLifecycle ManagementCoordinate procurement, deployment, maintenance, and decommissioning of IT and operational technology (OT) assetsManage warranties, service agreements, and vendor relationshipsAssist with lifecycle planning, including forecasting replacement cycles and end-of-support milestonesInventory & Data ManagementSupport and maintain automated IT and OT asset inventory within the appropriate system or databaseClean, validate, and reconcile asset data to ensure accuracy, compliance with data models, naming conventions, and metadata requirementsMaintain documentation repositories for IT and OT assets, including network topology, system architecture, configuration details, and compliance standardsCompliance & ReportingTrack asset compliance across network segments, OS/firmware versions, software versions, lifecycle status, and security postureIdentify non-compliant assets and document corrective actionsProduce recurring compliance, lifecycle, and cost reports; produce reports to assist management in forecasting needsDevelop dashboards and metrics reflecting compliance posture and lifecycle positionPerform audits and regular inventory reviews; support internal/external auditsSoftware & LicensingTrack software licenses and installations across IT and OT environmentsEnsure licenses are accurately represented in appropriate system or databaseSupport cost forecasting for software assetsProcurement & Vendor ManagementMaintain contract repository for software and leased hardware assetsLeverage purchasing agreements, carrier incentives, promotions, volume discounts, and other methods to secure best pricingCollaborate with other departments to meet project hardware and software requirementsOperate as point of contact for remote offices and locations regarding asset assignment. Collaborate with the accounting department to resolve intercompany chargeback issuesMergers & AcquisitionsSupport efforts to merge accounts and transfer assetsDocumentation & GovernanceMaintain version control and ensure documentation remains currentCreate and maintain documentation related to procurement, asset maintenance, offboarding, and decommissioning of various IT assetsHelp to implement asset management processes and procedures for enterpriseDeploy best practices for enterprise ITAMThe requirements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employee, but is not a complete list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required.
