Must have general office skills, familiar with MS Word/Excel and other computer programs as needed. Must have the ability to organize work. Must be able to work well under pressure; have the ability to adjust to a rapidly changing environment; the ability to communicate efficiently verbally and in writing, in both English and Spanish; the ability to follow verbal and written instructions; and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers. Must be able to submit and pass a secretarial and typing exam, math, and the ability to pass a criminal background check. Must have no prior convictions or arrests.DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: Specific duties will include but not be limited to: attend to all incoming visitors such as law enforcement officers, attorneys, judges and other defendants; answer phone counsel and transfer calls to appropriate employee; handle incoming mail; handle all incoming and outgoing faxes; handle caseload bond cases; plus any other duties as directed by the Chief Probation Officer or the Officer Manager. This position is subject to a six (6) month probationary period.
