Senior Azure Data Engineer - State National

Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory. Build and optimize data solutions using Azure SQL / SQL Server and related Azure data services. Implement CI/CD pipelines for data engineering workloads using Azure DevOps or similar tools. Perform data modeling to support analytics, reporting, and downstream consumption. Ensure data quality, performance, scalability, and reliability across pipelines. Collaborate with architects, analysts, and application teams to integrate data solutions. Support deployments, monitoring, troubleshooting, and production support activities. Follow enterprise security, governance, and compliance standards. Collaborate with Business Stakeholders and other IT groups to define and recommend software solutions that are scalable, maintainable, and efficient. Required Skills Strong hands‑on experience with Azure Data Factory. Solid experience with SQL and relational databases (Azure SQL / SQL Server). Experience working in Microsoft Azure cloud environments. Hands‑on experience building and deploying CI/CD pipelines for data workflows. Strong understanding of data modeling concepts (dimensional and relational). Experience with version control and Agile delivery practices. Excellent written and oral communication. Strong organization/time management. Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills. Ability to grasp and apply new information quickly. Ability to work/motivate team members as well as work independently. Shows flexibility and attention to detail. Strong desire for continuous improvement. Ability to handle increasing responsibility and complexity. Shows initiative and professionally executes projects with little direction. Ability to be creative and innovative. Well‑organized, disciplined work habits. Ability to manage and complete multiple, concurrent tasks. Availability to occasionally work late evening and weekends as needed. Preferred Skills Exposure to other Azure data services (Synapse, Databricks, Data Lake). Experience with stream data using Azure Event Hubs. Experience supporting analytics or reporting platforms and building dashboards using PowerBI. Familiarity with data governance and data quality frameworks. Education & Experience College degree preferred; high school diploma required. At least 3+ years of experience using the tools and skills listed above. U.S. work authorization required.
