Position Details

• Position: Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
• Location: Wichita Falls, TX
• Contract: 6 months
• Salary: $42.50/hr weekday and $45/hr on the weekend
• Schedule: Sunday through Saturday, with shifts alternating based on staffing needs
• Shift Options:
  • 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM
  • 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
  • 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM
  • 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
  • 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM
  • 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM
• Start: First of the month, following completion of all required compliance and clearance

Position Description
We are seeking experienced Licensed Vocational Nurses to provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care in a specialized healthcare setting in Wichita Falls, Texas.


LVNs will care for individuals with intellectual disabilities, complex medical conditions, mental health needs, and behavioral health concerns. This position requires nurses who are clinically confident, dependable, adaptable, and comfortable responding to changing patient needs.


You will work under the guidance of the facility's Medical Director and as part of a healthcare team focused on providing safe, quality patient care.
Responsibilities

• Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments
• Monitor patients for unusual symptoms, reactions, and changes in condition
• Monitor vital signs, weight, diet, and feedings
• Recognize signs and symptoms of illness and provide appropriate nursing care
• Use nursing judgment to address patient needs and initiate acute care plans when appropriate
• Provide nursing care according to the nursing process and applicable Texas nursing standards
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Perform computer data entry and maintain required patient records
• Complete reports and documentation according to facility requirements
• Follow facility policies, procedures, and applicable healthcare standards
• Maintain compliance with required nursing, safety, and patient care standards

Requirements

• Current LVN license and registration in good standing with the Texas Board of Nursing , or a license from a state participating in the Nurse Licensure Compact
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must be eligible to provide services to individuals receiving Medicare and Medicaid
• Must successfully pass required drug screening
• Must successfully pass criminal history, fingerprint, and registry clearance checks
• Must meet applicable HHSC immunization requirements
• Must complete required facility and HHSC training, including CPR
• Must meet all additional facility requirements
