Licensed Practical Nurse

Requirements Current license as an LPN in the Commonwealth of PA. One year of experience as an LPN preferred. Genuine interest in working with individuals with physical and developmental disabilities. A current and valid PA driver's license and reliable transportation may be required. Position Description Merakey is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for our program in Hummelstown, PA who will make an impact on the lives of adults living with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. Merakey Allegheny Valley School (Merakey AVS) is a non‑profit organization which provides homes and a full range of services to adults with all levels of intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The majority of the nearly 800 individuals that we support are diagnosed with severe or profound IDD. In addition, most of the people we serve have multiple physical disabilities, extensive medical complications and may require supports for challenging behaviors. In this role, the LPN will work on the AVS campus in a 17‑bed facility, providing direct nursing care to persons with developmental and physical disabilities by completing clinical assessments, recording seizure activity as needed, and administering medications. Shift Details Monday – Thursday: 2:30 PM – 7:00 AM ($4.00 per hour) Friday: 2:30 PM – 7:00 AM ($4.00 per hour) Saturday 6:30 AM – Monday 7:00 AM ($6.00 per hour) Standard base rate: $29.00 per hour Rotating 3 x 12 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM to include e/o weekend.
