Through our products and our brand, we aim to create delight, and leave this world better than how we found it.About the JobEngineering Project Managers at Peak Design sit at the center of our New Product Introduction (NPI) process, connecting the product team to the rest of the company and ensuring that information, decisions, and timelines move clearly across every function. Throughout the development cycle, you'll work hand-in-hand with the product team, owning the cross-functional coordination that keeps launches on track. Beyond NPI, you'll be an active contributor to the broader product and project management team, taking on initiatives that improve how we run our product lifecycle and how our teams communicate and collaborate.What You'll Do:Own the project development schedule end-to-end, staying closely connected with the product team to track and support hitting milestones, proactively flagging delays, and adjusting plans as needed.Participate in the product development process, contributing logistical support to keep the project on track and support the product development team.Maintain and communicate the NPI (New Product Introduction) schedule across cross-functional teams, ensuring everyone stays aligned on rollout timing and changes.Coordinate sample logistics globally, ensuring the right people receive what they need with shipping properly managed across all locations.Join evening vendor calls (~1–2 per week) with product team members to confirm factories are tracking to schedule and that timelines are realistic given factory capacity.Own the details as the last line of defense against things falling through the cracks.Along with all the above, you will work closely with:Our in-house, industrial design, engineering, and overseas (Manufacturing) teams, and contract manufacturing partners to design, develop, and bring new products to marketOur marketing team to align on sample requests and schedule to create a successful go-to-market strategy for each launchOur customer success team and retail team to make sure they are prepared for new product launchesRole Requirements4+ years experience with hands-on project management requiring coordination across multiple teams and tracking detailed milestones across multiple concurrent projectsAble to work 3 days a week from our office in the Dogpatch neighborhood of San FranciscoStrong systems thinking and a drive to optimize workflow and efficiency, with the ability to navigate unexpected roadblocks through rational problem solvingFamiliarity with mass production of consumer productsNice-to-HavesExperience with or an excitement for learning how premium consumer products are designed, developed at scale, and brought to marketExperience working and communicating with overseas vendorsExperience with Slack, Asana, Notion, AirtableYou use and care a lot about gear (photography, outdoor or other passion areas)You have strong opinions about the products that you use in your life and enjoy debating what makes these products greatYou enjoy working in-office, collaborating, and contributing to a strong team cultureA Day in the LifeStart your morning with a cup o' joe and fire up the ol' laptop to check Slack, email and get acquainted with your to-do list for the day. If you're in the office, hit up the kitchen where any number of fresh baked goods or treats wait to tickle your tastebuds.Spend your morning reviewing urgent messages from the manufacturing team and overseas partners, answering emails, prioritizing work based on schedules and reviewing upcoming milestones to make sure projects are staying on track.Depending on the stage of the project, participate in check-ins with your internal team and Product Line Lead, talking through status updates, roadblocks, and next steps. All this information is important to manage up and down the communication chain!If it's Tuesday, don't forget to put in your lunch order. It's on us!After a block walk (or run) to knock out the post-lunch sleepiness, you're back at your desk implementing any changes to your schedules and executing on cross-functional requests from Marketing, Sales and Operations teams.Enjoy some time away from the screen. Perhaps that's a post-work team bike ride or impromptu team pickleball game, or spending quality time with friends and family.If necessary, participate in evening vendor calls with the Manufacturing and Product team, discussing roadblocks, upcoming milestones, and feedback from builds.Log off for the day!Salary Range$105,000 - $145,000 USDIn addition to base salary, this role is eligible for a performance-based bonusCompensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance.
